Coolangatta

Coolangatta is at the southern end of the Gold Coast, situated north of Greenmount.  It is a great place to easily spend a whole day at the beach with your Gold Coast Kids.

Coolangatta beach has a flagged area and Lifeguard tower.  Drinking fountains, beach showers and male and female toilets are provided for your convenience. There are also some terrific picnic tables and gas BBQs for self-catering, or the Surf Clubs and other nearby restaurants and shops provide several dining options. Free car parking is readily available. Bike racks are also provided to secure bicycles.

A foreshore reserve runs the length of Coolangatta beach. An unfenced play area for Gold Coast Kids under shade sails which includes swings, a slide and a boat is situated in this area, along with bench seating and a great walking path and bikeway. Queen Elizabeth Park is also conveniently situated across Marine Parade opposite the foreshore. Coolangatta is a moderately safe beach due to its generally low waves, however deep rip channels and troughs can often occur.
