Currumbin & Currumbin Alley

Currumbin beach and Currumbin Alley can be found at the south end of the Gold Coast, where Currumbin Creek meets the ocean. They are nice beaches for an outing with your Gold Coast Kids, with the fantastic Currumbin Lake just inland.

Currumbin beach has a flagged area and Lifeguard tower and is patrolled all year round. Currumbin Alley is patrolled only from September to April and in school holidays. Drinking fountains, beach showers and male and female toilets (including those with wheelchair access) are provided for your convenience. There are also some good picnic tables and gas BBQs for self-catering, or the Currumbin Surf Club and nearby cafés provide an alternative for dining. Free car parking is readily available, along with bike racks for bicycles.

A partly fenced play area can be found near Currumbin beach. Protected by shade sails, it includes swings and a slide. Bench seating and a great walking path and bikeway also feature. Currumbin beach is a potentially hazardous beach for swimming, owing to the strong rips generally found, however Currumbin Inlet (aka Currumbin Lake) provides a wonderful place to have a splash with your Gold Coast Kids. Currumbin is also an excellent spot for fishing.
