The Queensland Theatre of Puppetry (QTOP) is a non-profit organization which has been entertaining children on the Gold Coast for about 35 years. We perform puppet shows every school holidays (except September due to Indy) in The Gerda Pinter Pavillion, Macintosh Island Park, Surfers Paradise, for the small admission price of $5.00 per person. The Queensland Art Gallery has several great programs for children, all of which are free of charge. Both the Queensland Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art are located in Stanley Place, Brisbane. There is more information about their fantastic holiday programs on our Holidays page. For children aged 4-10 years the Tours for Kids on Sundays at 11.30am and 1.00pm explore the historial Australian collection. These fun and interactive tours focus on paintings depicting children. Meet at the Stanley Place Information Desk, QAG. Sunday at the Gallery from 2.00-4.00pm your child can join in these free, creative workshops for kids led by local artists. Suitable for children from 3-12 years. Check out their website for more information about the workshops' content. Toddler Tuesday is a geared towards the younger children but bookings are essential as this program can be booked out early. There is more information about this program on our Totally Toddlers page.
