Paradise Country

Paradise Country is situated close to Wet ‘N’ Wild, Australian Outback Spectacular and Warner Bros. Movie World. A 20 minute drive north from Surfers Paradise, Paradise Country gives Gold Coast Kids the greatest Aussie farm experience you can get without travelling to the country. Definitely a great alternative to the big theme parks, Paradise Country allows all visitors, young and old, to fully enjoy the outback experience. It is also entirely possible to see all of Paradise Country in one day, which is particularly great for younger Gold Coast Kids.

What is on offer at Paradise Country

Paradise Country is set up as an authentic farm that imitates old-style Australian outback traditions. For animal lovers you can feed the kangaroos or have your photo taken with a koala in Koala Village. Gold Coast Kids will get a kick out of seeing and feeding the baby piglets, calves and lambs in the Animal Nursery. You can even watch the stockmen and their sheepdogs at work rounding up flocks of sheep. For history buffs, you can experience the excitement of fossicking for gold, silver and other precious gem stones at Paradise Country Gold Fossicking or try your hand at working in a real opal mine at Clancy’s Opal Mine.

Paradise Country’s Shows and Displays

Paradise Country’s main arena becomes the stage for the Australian Stockhorse Show where visitors can encounter the mighty Australian Stockhorse in action, demonstrating amazing skill and agility. Gold Coast Kids won’t want to miss the expert shearers in the Sheep Shearing Show and Ram Parade. With several different shows daily, Paradise Country promises to entertain and educate.

Outback Fare at Paradise Country

Authentic Australian food is served up daily at Paradise Country. Sample some Aussie tucker in the farmhouse restaurant, with an enjoyable buffet BBQ lunch served to a backdrop of some great Australian music. Enjoy traditional Billy Tea and damper around the campfire whilst expert horsemen execute horse-riding and whip-cracking demonstrations in the Billy Tea and Stock Horse Arena.
