8 Mini Kids’ Books to collect from the Courier Mail!

1

mini-books-couriermailThe Courier-Mail is running a wonderful promotion, starting this Sunday. From Sunday February 3 until Sunday February 10, you and your child can collect a different Mini Book every day of the week. Many of the titles will be familiar… perhaps you even grew up with some of these stories yourself.

The Courier-Mail editor Michael Crutcher says the collection is a great way to introduce children to the joys of reading: “It’s the perfect opportunity for our younger readers to get excited about learning through much-loved classic tales. Reading and being read to from a young age has many benefits for children.”

The best part is that this Sunday February 3, your first Mini Book is FREE with a purchased copy of the Sunday Mail, and you get a bonus book bag to carry the books around in—no matter how many your child ends up collecting.

From Monday February 4 onward, keep collecting for only $2 each day with the Courier-Mail until the Sunday Mail on February 10th. That’s eight days straight of new mini books for a total of just $14 on top of the cost of the daily newspaper.

You have to redeem an original newspaper token in exchange for the Mini Book, so make sure you don’t rush out of the newsagency and forget about it! The token can be found in the newspaper on page 2 (at the editor’s discretion) each day of the promotion. Make sure your newsagent is participating, and don’t leave it too late, because the Mini Book daily stocks are strictly limited.

For more details (participating newsagents, Frequently Asked Questions) go to the Courier Mail’s website via this link: 8 Mini Kids’ Books to collect.

Now, if you want to be surprised by each day’s book, don’t read any further!

The illustrations contain many other objects beginning with that letter that the reader can try to identify. As an additional challenge, the author has hidden a picture of himself as a child in every picture.
