You will never get bored at Washington Waters Park, Southport! With a café, rock pools, swimming enclosure, mini bike circuit, monorail, Velectron and exciting play areas, there’s so much to do.  There’s even space for a soccer game or a picnic on the large grassed areas around or go for a stroll along the water and take in the beachside views.  The various parks offer rides to thrill every age bracket.  If you’re feeling hot, why not go for a swim in the netted swimming enclosure.  Swim for fitness or pleasure by swimming laps or jump of the floating pontoon in the middle.  The amount of fun is limitless at Washington Waters Park, Southport.

The Facts

Although there are limited barbecue’s available, Washington Waters Park is just across from Australia Fair Shopping Centre so grab some take away or bring a packed picnic and enjoy it on the grassed areas or on one of the tables near the playground. You can also purchase something from the park’s café.  The main playground area which has several shade sails, can get quite busy with the Velectron, monorail, and jumping pillow all in the same area.  However, there is another playground near the rock pools that is a lot quieter.  The rock pools are a great place for your little Gold Coast Kids to splash around in.  Run through the water sprays or paddle in the puddles, your little one will have a ball.  There is also a life guard on duty throughout the day for safety.  Bring along your bikes and go for a ride along the water.  The kids can also ride through the mini bike circuit too.  The park has a beautiful new building with both male and female toilets which are located in the middle of the two large grassed areas.  Paid parking is available in the car park which enters from the local swimming pool or there is parking on the main road.  The playground area is partially fenced. It doesn’t matter what season it is, you’ll always have plenty to do at the Washington Waters Park in Southport.
